'Celebrity Deathmatch' Pairings We Need To See

A major throwback is on the horizon, and you may want to sit down for this exciting news. Celebrity Deathmatch is coming back to MTV2, The Hollywood Reporter revealed, and the crazy animated comedy will have plenty of pairings in the wrestling ring. In case you weren't a loyal viewer, the show ran on MTV from 1998 to 2002 and featured imagined fights between celebrities. The claymation was pretty gory and usually ended with one star's gruesome death. MTV2 previously revived the show from 2006 to 2007, but it was canceled again... until now.

Since MTV is putting so much energy into a reboot, they will have to come up with some outrageous pairings to excite everyone in 2015. Back in the '90s, we saw pairings like Britney Spears vs. Christina Aguilera, The Spice Girls vs. Hanson, and even Madonna vs. the late Michael Jackson, so the music world should be a big part of the new version of the show. However, expanding to bigger pop culture names and movie stars will make it even more fun, especially if it's a more playful feud than a battle between stars in real life. Justin Bieber vs. Selena Gomez

Their relationship seems to be done for good, so why not Selena get to hit back after all the hits she took at Bieber's roast?

There have been some terrible back and forths between these two over the years — most recently with some slut-shaming — and it could be settled in the ring.

Taylor Swift vs. Katy Perry

This is the ultimate way to solve their "bad blood" problem.

Drake vs. Madonna

Even though Drake says he was just shocked by Madonna's kiss at Coachella, if he really wasn't happy with it, they could settle it here.

Jennifer Lawrence vs. Bradley Cooper

These two have nothing to fight about, but it could be fun to see their animated selves fight for who gets a bigger trailer in their next movie.
