This Wedding RSVP Card Is Hilariously Honest

by Chrissa Hardy

Wedding invitations are extremely important, and you don't completely understand how true that is until you plan your own wedding. You spend tons of time selecting a card that reflects the personal style of you and your future spouse, and has enough pizazz so that your guests won't ignore it and forget to return them with RSVPs. But sometimes you need to take your RSVPs to a whole new level of cool, and one couple did just that with a hilariously honest wedding RSVP card that is quite possibly the funniest, smartest, strangest, and longest in wedding invitation history.

Cosmopolitan brings our attention to this wedding RSVP card, which someone received and posted to Imgur. The soon-to-be newlywed couple could have stuck with the standard blank spots for dinner choice and name of date, but instead, they assembled a "check all that apply" questionnaire that seems as helpful as it is completely useless. Overall, the answers to the questions don't provide much essential information for a bride's wedding planning purposes, and if answered honestly, they could stir up some serious beef. But mostly, it's hilariously personal and equally confusing. Come to think of it, this could easily be the RSVP to Perd Hapley's nuptials, and just to give you a better idea of what I mean, the questionnaire begins... now.

Personally, I think it would be next to impossible not to check the boxes next to the love triangles, imaginary children, and Spanish inquisition responses, because those are truly spectacular. Also, if you're allowed to bring imaginary children, does that mean you get extra dinners? One can only hope.

If this RSVP is any indication of how the wedding will be, I think it's safe to say these guests are in for a treat. And that the photobooth props will be impressively weird. Early congratulations to the happy couple, because two people who share a sense of humor like this are bound to make it forever and ever.
