Carrie Underwood Gives Us #LifeGoals

by Jaclyn Anglis

In case you haven't noticed, Carrie Underwood is winning at life right now. When she isn't basking in the glory of her ongoing singer-songwriter success, she is relaxing with her supportive, loyal husband and their adorable new baby, Isaiah, who she just welcomed in March. Whether you are a fan or not, you have to admit that Underwood is a star that inspires #LifeGoals.

Think about it. She has an amazing career where she gets paid to do what she loves and lives to do. She has found a wonderful man who believes in her dreams, and baby makes three. She has incredible style that always seems to be perfectly on point, whether she is on the red carpet or off. And the funny thing is, it doesn't even seem like she's trying. It all appears to be so natural and seamless, a perfect mixture of Hollywood glamour and Southern "girl next door." Maybe that is part of what makes her overall image and perception so appealing to fans — both of the country genre and because of her crossover appeal.

Below is a round up of some of the reasons why Carrie Underwood should be your #LifeGoals role model — provided she isn't already, of course.

Underwood already has seven Grammy awards under her belt, which is no easy feat for any performer. She has also won five Country Music Association awards, and a fan-voted Milestone Award at the Billboard Music Awards. In 2014, Time named her as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. And keep in mind, this is only the first decade of her career! Just imagine where she will be in the future.

Even if you don't like country music, chances are you like at least one of Underwood's songs. Though she has remained largely in tune with her country roots, she blends just enough of a poppy sound into her songs to appeal to people who normally wouldn't be interested. She has even dabbled in jazz with the legendary Tony Bennett! The numbers don't lie: 18 number one singles and counting show that people like her crossover appeal. Plus, if you haven't blasted "Before He Cheats" at least once while on the road, you're doing it wrong.

She uses her platform for good causes

It would be easy for someone as commercially successful as Underwood to just sit pretty and enjoy the benefits of her own hard work. But instead, she is a huge supporter of philanthropy and uses her massive platform to educate her fans about important and very relevant issues. She has participated in raising awareness of the pervasive existence of slavery, as pictured above with husband Mike Fisher, and she has also spoken out against bullying.

Just in case being wildly talented and being street smart wasn't enough, Underwood has also proven herself to be amazingly book smart. In the midst of singing and performing, she also graduated magna cum laude from college. Feeling motivated to study for that upcoming exam yet?

Not only does hockey player husband Mike Fisher help promote causes with her that she feels passionate about, he also knows to leave her alone while she is working. He is respectful of her creative process and understands her needs while she is putting together her next big hit. She definitely picked a winner there!

She is a health and fitness aficionado

Who's surprised? (Me neither.) Since her career and love life seem to be in tip-top shape, it only makes sense that her health and fitness routine would follow that same route! As she's shared her workout routine with Glamour and opened up about her vegan diet, it's clear that health is a priority to her. No wonder she has the energy to take on the country music world!
