Kendall Said Designers Laughed Behind Her Back

by Sienna Fantozzi

There are some critics that are probably majorly face palming after seeing Kendall Jenner's new spread in V Magazine . The model posed for a captivating editorial, and opened up about the struggles and doubt she faced when she first started modeling. Obviously, she proved them wrong.

The 19-year-old posed for photographer Steven Klein in V's latest issue, wearing looks from Calvin Klein, who Jenner fronted a campaign for. Sporting a 90s grunge look, Kendall rocks denim, sports bras, and a pair of black heels as she lounges provocatively in a chair and even rides a dog (a giant Great Dane, so effectively it's a horse) in one photo. It's all kinds of fierce, but before she was killing it in campaigns and on catwalks, Jenner struggled to break into the modeling industry.

“You have no idea how many doors closed on me and how many adults were either initially reluctant to take a chance working with me or who outright laughed at me behind my back,” she said.

Kendall credits designers including Marc Jacobs and Karl Lagerfeld for taking a chance on her and giving her the opportunity to prove herself in the industry. After this shoot, in addition to her many modeling accomplishments, I think it's safe to say — the door is being held wide open for you, Kendall.
