It feels like forever since Maks Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis won the Mirrorball (and our hearts), but the pair was able to pick right up where they left off. Both Maks and Meryl returned for the Dancing With the Stars 10th Anniversary special, and their performance was just as spectacular as it was when they won during Season 18. Everyone, including the judges, loved watching Maks and Meryl perform because they had such an amazing chemistry — and it's good to know they've still got it.
Before there was Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy, there was Maks and Meryl, and I'm still mad that they're not dating. But, the good thing is Maks and Meryl are still friends, and they work so well together that they were able to pick up right where they left off on Tuesday night.
As part of the festivities, DWTS had their two most recent champs face off. So, it was Maks and Meryl vs. Alfonso Ribiero and Witney Carson. But the showdown wasn't really a fair one, because as good as Alfonso and Witney are, it's impossible to beat what Maks and Meryl have. The pair took the stage and performed a stunning ballroom dance to Alesso's "Heroes." Not gonna lie, I cried a little. No one is ever going to be as flawless as these two.
