Which Ruth Bader Ginsburg Era Are You?

by Lauren Holter

The Notorious RBG has been a Supreme Court justice for almost 22 years, which she's spent gracing us all with her wisdom and wit. Having worked as an advocate for women's rights, she's continuously fought for gender equality and women's reproductive rights, making her a hero to feminists everywhere. She was appointed to SCOTUS the year I was born, so I feel like I have a strong connection with the RBG of the '90s, but there's really no bad RBG era. Lucky for you, there's a way to find out which Ruth Bader Ginsburg era fits you best.

Appointed to SCOTUS in 1993, RBG was a rookie on the bench in the '90s, but that didn't stop her from making several feisty dissents. In the early 2000s, she took on multiple controversial issues, including the Bush v. Gore election fiasco and affirmative action. This year, everyone's waiting for SCOTUS' decision on gay marriage, and RBG has not been shy about voicing her opinion on the matter. Women's issues have always been the cornerstone of her influence; she was one of only two female justices until 2010, when a third woman was appointed to SCOTUS, and was sometimes the only woman on the bench.

Take the quiz to see which part of the legendary RBG's reign on SCOTUS you most relate to.
