4 DIY Beauty Masks We're Dying to Try

Instead of making a sickening amount of pumpkin-flavored treats with your leftover gourds, may we suggest putting it on your face instead. Our friends over at Beautylish have come up with an easy and quick DIY beauty mask recipe that will nourish and brighten your skin as well as a $100 professional facial would.

It's a little-known fact that pumpkins are actually great for your skin. The orange squash is rich with vitamins, beta-carotene, zinc, potassium, and antioxidants, all of which can help eliminate redness and fight wrinkles. Here are three other DIY food masks that are on our "To-Try" list. Just like the pumpkin face mask, they're super simple to make and only call for a few ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen.

1. Greek Yogurt Facial

We've always wondered (read: envied) how beauty aficionado Lauren Conrad gets such perfectly pristine skin. Her secret may lie in this at-home beauty recipe she recently shared with Refinery29. With just two ingredients -- Greek yogurt and a probiotic capsule -- LC's mask remedy will have your skin feeling soft and silky, and perhaps as immaculate as hers.

2. Honey, Apple Cider and Oatmeal Mask

Professional aesthetician Eleanor Bagley swears by her Fall Facial, which uses honey, apple cider and ground oatmeal (all of which are organic). It specifically targets imbalanced complexion, which is basically our biggest challenge during the late autumn months. For the full recipe, head over to DailyCandy.

3. Strawberry Facial

We challenge you not to eat this yummy, two-ingredient face mask (though if some of it happens to get into your mouth while you're slathering it on your face, that's allowed). Not only are strawberries packed with salicylic acids that are great for removing dead skin cells, they're also full of antioxidants that can repair damaged skin and fight aging.
