Babies Covered In Sunscreen Are Weirdly Terrifying

by Jamie Kenney

Sunscreen is important, everyone. (Yes, I'm talking to you, people who somehow believe sunscreen causes cancer.) Now that summer's coming, I keep a tube of that stuff in my purse and just sort of douse myself every two hours or so, because Irish skin doesn't play around. But there's a limit, and that is a lesson the wee ones in this video featuring two babies covering themselves in sunscreen have not yet learned.

Now if I told you "Check out these two toddlers who put on waaaaaaaaay too much sunscreen on themselves" you'd probably think "Aw! I have to check this out! I bet it's hilarious!" You'd be half right. You do have to check it out, but personally speaking, I think it's creepy. The adorable features of the children are obfuscated by a thick coating of what looks like white paint, giving them the appearance of the plastered skulls of Jericho. They stare silently into the camera, moving only slightly, occasionally, to continue to slowly rub the lotion onto their skin.

"You have interrupted our sacred rite," their eyes seem to say. "In so doing you hath sealed your own doom." You can totally tell the one in the white shirt is the leader and the other is merely (but enthusiastically) doing his bidding.

Honestly, these children can be interpreted in one of the following ways:

  1. The chilling new inspiration for a horror movie franchise starring two other-wordly, murderous ghost children.
  2. The littlest Juggalos getting ready for an Insane Clown Posse concert.
  3. Two cute little kids adorably covered in schmutz.

Anyway, check them out for yourselves and make your own decision.
