Langley Fox's Forever 21 Line Is Here

by Marc Cuenco

It's hard to live up to a name like Hemingway, but there's no denying that creativity goes a long way in that family. Langley Fox's Forever 21 collection proves that the apple truly doesn't fall far from the tree. The granddaughter of celebrated writer Ernest Hemingway, Fox has made a name for herself in the Los Angeles art scene as an illustrator and designer. She drew inspiration close to home when designing the artwork for her Forever 21 capsule line.

"I wanted the collection to give off a vibe of escaping into wilderness," Fox told W. "I drew inspiration from photographs by my friends of everything from beautiful ladies to nature and adventurous trips. I was looking for a sense of freedom and spontaneity." Fox's limited edition line includes graphic tees and tanks featuring her own hand drawn illustrations. All the items are priced around $15.

Designing for Forever 21 isn't Fox's first foray into the fashion world. She has previously collaborated with Marc Jacobs, Alice & Olivia, as well as Louis Vuitton, for whom she drew a set of pictures based off her grandfather's book A Moveable Feast. She has also modeled, following in the footsteps of her mother Mariel Hemingway and sister Dree, who is the new face of Chloe fragrance.
