Are You Ready For Trump-Winfrey 2016?

by Jaclyn Anglis

Who could Trump the Donald with Oprah by his side? That's what the real estate mogul himself seems to wondering. Yes, it's true, our country's latest presidential candidate already has a vice president in mind. Donald Trump said he wants Oprah Winfrey as his running mate, in a new interview with ABC News.

"I think Oprah would be great. I'd love to have Oprah," he said. "I think we'd win easily, actually."

So, why Oprah specifically? Well, according to the Apprentice star, Oprah is "talented," "a friend of mine," and "a good person." Trump followed up these vague compliments with a hilariously defensive comment: "I like Oprah. I mean, is that supposed to be a bad thing? I don't think so."

This news gets even more ridiculous when you hear that this is actually not the first time the Trump has suggested the legendary talk show host as a potential running mate. Yes, when the business magnate hinted at a run back in 1999, he suggested her as his running mate. And it looks like he thinks she would still be a perfect fit. Oprah, for her part, has not yet responded to Trump's dream. It is probably safe to say that this will not be a real thing come the 2016 election. But just for the sake of speculation (and laughs), let us imagine for a moment that they really are running as a team and that we are watching this show go down. We will need popcorn.

Building Namesakes > Campaign Signs

If there's one thing Trump is good at, it is slapping his name on lots of buildings, even if they look supremely tacky (see: his tower on the Chicago riverfront) and people are not happy about it (see: his tower on the Chicago riverfront). Some people put up campaign signs. Trump would put up campaign buildings. And you know Oprah is the only other namesake that he would allow on the same building (in a smaller print, of course).

Kiss Their Shows Goodbye

Hopefully you enjoyed the OWN network and Celebrity Apprentice while they lasted, because they would probably (definitely) be things of the past if the campaign became a reality.

War Of The Egos

We are talking about a guy who actually tried to trademark the phrase "You're fired!" for himself and a woman who puts out a magazine every month with herself on the cover. There is no telling what would happen when these two gigantic personalities clash. But one thing is for sure, it would not be pretty.

Trump Finally Fixes His Hair

The one silver lining in the cloud is that once Oprah spent all that time campaigning with Trump, there is no way that a woman with such great hair would allow him to continue with his much hated comb-over. And that is truly the work our country needs.
