This Is What Justin's New Album Might Sound Like

by Alex Kritselis

Over the weekend, the King of Instagram Butt Pics, Justin Bieber, had a new song reportedly called "Perfect Together" hit the Web — and it might give fans a taste of his much-anticipated new album. In stark contrast to the lovelorn "Where Are Ü Now," Bieber's current single with Diplo and Skrillex, "Perfect Together" is a sunny mid-tempo track about finding your "perfect" match. "I know I'm not perfect sometimes/I know you're not perfect sometimes/Even when it's wrong, it feels right/'Cause we're perfect together," the 21-year-old pop star croons on the saccharine chorus. Everyone together now: "Awww!" (If you'd rather puke instead, that's cool, too.)

There's no word yet on whether "Perfect Together" is a recent tune or a leftover from a previous project, but I certainly wouldn't mind if it hints at the sonic direction of Bieber's next LP. The lyrics are a bit twee, sure, but I think the instrumental sounds promising. (What can I say? I'm a sucker for a feel-good love song.)

In February, Digital Spy reported that Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, told Complex that the singer is "excited to share where he is with the world next year." In other words, don't expect a new set from Bieber until 2016. Whoa. If Beliebers truly have to wait that long for their idol to drop new solo music, I hope he's prepared to put out a bunch of previews over the next several months in order to keep them happy. Otherwise... things could get ugly!
