Cleansing your skin at the end of each day is non-negotiable, but finding the perfect cleanser is easier said than done. Oftentimes, the cleansers that feel the best still leave traces of makeup behind, and most cleansers tend to be too cumbersome to travel with. That’s why Singapore-based brand, ést.lab, created their LumiGlow Enzyme Cleansing Pods: to make the cleansing process both more effective and more travel-friendly.

The pastel-colored pods instantly transform into a rich lather once water is added. Then, they work to break down sunscreen and makeup while simultaneously gently exfoliating your skin. Because the pods themselves are waterless, they’re easy to travel with, and one pod is all you need for a complete cleansing session.

Fast Facts:

  • Sold in a pack of 90
  • Cruelty-free
  • Vegan
  • Alcohol-free
  • Sulfate-free
  • Silicone-free

Each jar comes with 90 individual pods, which is enough for three months’ worth of nightly cleanses; or, if you plan on using them mostly when you travel, one jar will last you well over a year. One pod is the equivalent of one full cleanse, and each pod gets activated by being broken apart with your fingers and mixed with a small amount of water. If you want a gentler cleanser, add more water until you get the foamy consistency you’re after, while less water will result in a slightly grittier, more exfoliating cleanser.

The pods serve as an all-in-one makeup remover, cleanser, and exfoliator. Four fruit extracts are behind the effective formula, with ést.lab carefully selecting each one to deliver multiple benefits to the skin while still being gentle enough on more sensitive skin types. Among the ingredients, you’ll find pineapple extract, which has been included for its anti-inflammatory properties and bromelain enzymes that are able to loosen dead skin cells and debris. Peach extract, which naturally contains the AHA malic acid, has also been included in the formula, as have antioxidant-rich mango and lemon extracts for moisturizing and brightening benefits. And because the cleanser is made without common irritants like alcohol and sulfates, it shouldn’t irritate sensitive skin.
