By now, the Bachelor Nation family is vast and wide, and it can be difficult to keep up with the many faces that have cropped up across the franchise over the years. But behind scenes, there are actually a number of Bachelor stars who have used their celebrity for good. Some have remained a frequent and visible presence among fans, while others have faded quietly to the background and gone on with their normal lives. But amid the spate of product endorsements that tend to populate the social media feeds of those that do stay in the spotlight, there are many who have taken the time to shout out a worthy cause. Some have simply given back to charity or used their newfound platforms to call attention to worthwhile issues, while others have even founded their own non-profits.

Of course, if you pay attention to the post-Bachelor/ette antics of former castmates, you'll know that they can regularly be found at fundraisers, and counting the number of Bach alums that have attended even one of those events would be too endless to list. But there are plenty of former stars who have taken things a step further. So let's give them a little credit, shall we?

1

Sean & Catherine Lowe

One of the few Bachelor success stories, Season 17 couple Sean and Catherine Lowe have frequently participated in charity endeavors. Among their more recent efforts are helping to rescue Hurricane Harvey victims just last month, teaming with eBay in 2016 to raise money for the American Heart Association, and fundraising for childhood cancer in 2012.

Wells Adams

Bachelorette Season 12 alum (and noted dog lover) Wells Adams regularly fills his Instagram with photos of dogs in need of adoption.

3

Vanessa Grimaldi

As part of Band From TV — which features prominent actors like Hugh Laurie (House), Greg Gunberg (Heroes), and James Denton (Desperate Housewives), among others — Season 4 Bachelor Bob Guiney has helped raise over $2 million for charity, according to his website.

7

Danielle Maltby

After leaving Bachelor In Paradise Season 4 to work as a nurse for children in Africa for several weeks, Danielle Maltby used her social media platform to encourage her followers to donate to the cause.

8

Ben Higgins

Ben Higgins shocked MudLOVE owner Luke Wright by wearing a bracelet from his store supporting Water for Good throughout his stint on The Bachelor Season 20. Now, Higgins works with a nonprofit called Humanity and Hope United Foundation that helps create jobs for people in Honduras, and also founded Generous Coffee, a company that donates all of its profits to charity.

9

Britt Nilsson

Since vying for Chris Soules' heart on The Bachelor Season 19, Britt Nilsson has become a frequent YouTuber, and in July, she used her platform to open about her struggles with bulimia and addiction — an important story to share for any of her followers who may be facing similar issues.

10

Taylor Nolan

Taylor Nolan, a mental health counselor who appeared on Nick Viall's season of The Bachelor, is a noted advocate for mental health. In fact, she runs a blog, Talking With Taylor, dedicated to promoting awareness and conversation.
