As Halloween seasons rolls in like an ominous fog, your Instagram feed is going to get a spooky makeover. Soon, it will be pumpkin after costume, haunted house after Halloween party, and you're going to want to get in on that action. But one thing that might slow you down is having to come up with a clever and scary Halloween Instagram caption for each of your posts.

Instead of sitting there with the caption curser blinking as you search your brain for another way to say "Halloween vibes," you should consider lining up a few awesome captions ahead of time. That way, when you take that perfect October picture, you don't have to stress before posting. We all know the struggle of a great picture without a great caption.

Which is exactly why I've taken the liberty of putting together a compilation of quotes that you can use for your photos. There's no need to get overwhelmed by the Halloween Insta game. There are so many awesome quotes from movies and literature that will make any seasonal picture look very Halloween editorial. Here are a few of my favorites, ranging from classical literature to slasher horror films — you know just to cover all the bases.

"Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble." — William Shakespeare

"Where there is no imagination there is no horror." — Arthur Conan Doyle

"Every day is Halloween, isn't it? For some of us." — Tim Burton

"There are nights when only the wolves are silent and the moon howls." — George Carlin

"He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. Is not life a hundred times too short for us to bore ourselves?" — Friedrich Nietzsche

"The thing under my bed waiting to grab my ankle isn’t real. I know that, and I also know that if I’m careful to keep my foot under the covers, it will never be able to grab my ankle." — Stephen King

"A ghost, though invisible, still is like a place your sight can knock on, echoing; but here within this thick black pelt, your strongest gaze will be absorbed and utterly disappear." — Rainer Maria Rilke

"You knew I was coming for you, little one, when the kettle jumped into the fire." — Louise Erdrich

"For a charm of powerful trouble, like a hell-broth boil and bubble." — William Shakespeare

"When I open the windows and go to bed, will the ghosts come in and stand at my head?" — Fannie Stearns Davis

"When by thy scorn, O murd'ress, I am dead, and that thou thinkst thee free from all solicitation from me, then shall my ghost come to thy bed." — John Donne

"the Cambridge ladies who live in furnished souls are unbeautiful and have comfortable minds." — e.e. cummings

"The eyes are not here. There are no eyes here. In this valley of dying stars, in this hallow valley, this broken jaw of our lost kingdoms." — T.S. Eliot

"Something came out of the fog and tried to destroy us. In one moment, it vanished. But if this has been anything but a nightmare, and if we don’t wake up to find ourselves safe in our beds, it could come again. To the ships at sea who can hear my voice: look across the water, into the darkness. Look for the fog.” — The Fog

"You've got the body, I've got the brain." — Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2

"A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.” — Silence of the Lambs

"When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the Earth." — Dawn of the Dead
