21 'Gossip Girl' Episodes To Watch That'll Get You Reboot Ready

All was right in the world: Serena and Dan finally realized what they meant to each other, Nate and Chuck looked out for their fathers in harsh but loving ways, and Chuck finally realized what a beautiful gem Blair is. Everything blows up eventually, but this relatively happy episode will exist forever.

This was the first of many iconic Gossip Girl Thanksgivings, a holiday that literally everyone on the Upper East Side manages to mess up without even trying. It's sweet and sentimental, but the most important thing is its title, "Blair Waldorf Must Pie!," which should be made into a full feature film.

This episode is just another Tuesday in NYC, but it epitomized why fans fell in love in the first place: Serena and Blair's fabulous looks! CeCe being a fabulous villain! Everyone pining for everyone else's love and approval!

Ah, Georgina Sparks. The villain of all villains made her entrance in this episode, becoming the definition of someone people love to hate. She's literally the devil incarnate, but she's damn good at it. Side-note: if "Desperately Seeking Serena" replaced Gossip Girl as the show's title, the whole series would still make complete sense.

The Season 2 premiere might be juicier than the pilot. Serena and Nate fake a relationship to cover Nate's actual affair with an older woman, resulting in a kiss set to Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" that ruins everything, and Jenny gets fashion clout through future Real Housewife of New York Tinsley Mortimer. What a world.

So much drama occurs in this episode, from Vanessa stealing Nate's letter for Jenny to little J retaliating by showing Vanessa in her skivvies to the entire school. Not to mention the drama going on between Chuck and Blair.

Bart Bass dies. Good riddance. (Yes, I know he comes back to life, but it was nice while it lasted.) Also, look out for a ton of family drama, courtesy of Chuck Bass.

This is where we were introduced to arguably the show's greatest couple: Georgina Sparks and Jesus Christ. The evil queen's transformation into a good-hearted Christian (and her ditching him as soon as she returned to NYC) was hilarious to watch, and spawned this iconic GIF later in the series.

Brittany Snow guest starred as young Lily, with Krysten Ritter playing her sister Carol, in an '80s flashback episode. Plus, No Doubt performed, even though everyone in the scene had to pretend it wasn't No Doubt. What could be better than that?

This episode marked a turning point for everyone, as the gang began their college journeys and Jenny became Queen Bee of Constance Billard. But more importantly, it marked the introduction of the iconic Olivia Burke, as played by the equally iconic Hilary Duff.

Lady Gaga performed "Bad Romance" in this episode, in the same room as Hilary Duff. While she had a tough relationship talk with Dan. Enough said.

The Thanksgiving episode of all Thanksgiving episodes, Season 3's "The Treasure of Serena Madre" set a high bar. One by one, secrets are revealed, accusations start flying, and someone gets blackmailed, all to the sound of Jason DeRulo's prophetic "Whatcha Say." Cheers!

The true queen of Gossip Girl, Dorota Kishlovsky (don't deny her rightful title), gets her time in the spotlight during her hilarious and heartwarming wedding to Vanya. Also, we briefly hear Leighton Meester's "Your Love's A Drug", which is a certified jam.

I'm not sure any episode of any TV series has ever contained as many cliffhangers as Gossip Girl's Season 3 finale. Dan is about to fly across the world for Serena, but Georgina shows up on his doorstep... pregnant. Meanwhile, Chuck gets shot, and his attackers take his engagement ring, meaning he was going to propose to Blair. The audacity!

The Season 4 premiere was nothing but pure fun. Serena and Blair are living their best lives in Paris, with Blair even meeting a prince, and Chuck has found new love in the City of Love — after assuming a new identity. Plus, Dan is a father! Kind of. Whatever, it's adorable.

This episode is iconic for two reasons: Blair's dream sequence, where she emulates Audrey Hepburn in Wait Until Dark, and Jenny's interview with Tim Gunn, where her models wear outfits that spell out the word "whore." Classic Gossip Girl.

Ignore the flat-out weird and disturbing storyline involving Serena and Ben, and just watch Blair and Dan compete to be the top intern at W Magazine. It's top-notch hijinks and sabotage. Plus, their boss' first name is Epperly, which I will never get over.

To be honest, most of Season 5 is not that great, but the show's milestone 100 episode has so much going on that it's impossible to resist. Blair walks down the aisle, Georgina returns, and most importantly, Serena has a fabulous musical number featuring all of the boys that makes the entire season worth watching.

Nate, Chuck, Dan, Blair, and Serena all band together to take down one Bart Bass for a thrilling, and often times ridiculous, game of cat and mouse. Oh, and, Bart Bass dies. For real, this time. Good riddance.

Yes, the controversial finale, despite the amount of plot holes, inaccuracies, and questions that come with the show's big reveal, is still one of the best of the series. Why? Because Gossip Girl has barely ever made sense, and the show was given the most ridiculous ending possible, as we deserved.

Here's hoping the Gossip Girl reboot will be equally juicy and dramatic.
