Just in time for summer, Ben & Jerry's is introducing a new ice cream flavor inspired by Bob Marley — the immortal king of summer vibes. Well, technically you might have heard of it before: the flavor debuted in the UK in 2016, but this is the first time it's going to be served in the states, so it's only new for us. Just when you think that our favorite ice cream heroes have literally thought of every single flavor under the sun, they think of one more, amirite? How is there always one more?! How do they so consistently find ways to mix and match the same ingredients to create totally different flavors?

Magic is how.

And while I always thought of myself as a chocolate chip cookie dough girl for life — one of my first AOL screen names was CCCDgrly — a quick browse through the ingredients of the new flavor, and I'm already considering jumping ship and getting on board with Mr. Marley. Sorry cookie dough, you're still my first love, but this summer I'm branching out and jamming out with One Love.

Yup, very appropriately, the new flavor is called "One Love" and it's a limited edition special. Even better, proceeds are going to a really great charity. Yes, this very flavor was created to support a youth empowerment program in Jamaica. It's ice cream with a cause you guys! You know, in case you were looking for a reason to eat more ice cream this summer.

The program is called the One Love Youth Camp and it invites students in underserved communities in Jamaica between the ages of 13 and 17 to join in on a week's worth of creative workshops in Bob Marley's hometown of St. Ann. Music classes, dance classes, singing lessons, theater productions, and creative writing classes are offered to give the "campers" a chance to tell their stories and bridge the gaps within their communities. So Ben & Jerry's have partnered with the Marley family to donate some of the proceeds of One Love ice cream sales directly to this foundation. Meaning that the more ice cream you eat, the more you're helping to improve social equality and wellness in Jamaica. Pretty cool right?

Oh, right ± you're probably dying to hear what's in the ice cream. The base is a creamy banana ice cream. Swirled throughout the carton is caramel syrup and graham cracker dust. And to really make the theme apparent, there are peace sign shaped fudge chunks. Sounds pretty rad, right? Well you won't have to wait long to dig in: the flavor is coming to scoop shops and grocery store freezer aisles soon.
