You Can Actually Hire This 'Bachelor' Contestant To Train You At The Gym

A new year brings new resolutions, new adventures, and a new season of The Bachelor. Premiering on Jan. 1, this season's fierce competition features 29 women of all ages and career paths competing for the heart of Arie Luyendyk, Jr. Among those 29 ladies is Bachelor contestant and trainer Krystal Nielson. After her Bachelor journey is over, can you hire the trainer to help you reach your own fitness goals?

Originally from Missoula, MT, Krystal moved to Los Angeles in 2012 to pursue a career in entertainment reporting, but currently lives in San Diego and works as an Orangetheory fitness coach in the Point Loma studio. Per the company's website, Orangetheory is a one-hour, full-body workout that focuses on training endurance, strength, and power. Pre-Bachelor glory, Krystal was teaching multiple workout classes per week at the studio. And given how much she loves fitness, she'll most likely return to teaching whether or not things pan out between her and Luyendyk.

Per her Orangetheory bio, Krystal specializes in strength and flexibility and her client list ranges in age from older teens to senior citizens. If she sticks with the gym after The Bachelor, you'd have to have a either a membership there or purchase a bundle of pre-paid sessions to train with her. Orangetheory has membership levels, starting with Orange Basic, which includes four sessions a month with no annual commitment. For unlimited sessions, there's OrangePremier. Prices aren't listed on the site, so they may vary by location.

On her Instagram page, @coachkrystal, she frequently posts behind-the-scenes photos of her sweat sessions and short workout videos, in addition to simple, but yummy recipes. "I always liked fitness, but was never sure I would do it professionally," Krystal said in an interview with FitLiveTV. "It was just fun, something that was a really nice release to help bring me focus when I was in school and [allowed me] to take time for myself."

As exciting as living and working in Hollywood was at first, Krystal said in the interview that she found herself feeling "unfulfilled" after too many cutthroat hosting auditions "competing against like these actresses from Gossip Girl." After a few stressful years that included having to temporarily re-home her dog, she continued, she officially traded in her heels for sneakers and moved to San Diego to pursue fitness full-time. Krystal credits this move and career change as her greatest achievement to date, according to her official Bachelor Q&A on the ABC website.

Today the health and fitness coach is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM MMA Conditioning Specialist, Nationally-Qualified Bikini Competitor, Yoga Sculpt Instructor and an Ambassador for Yoga for Homeless, according to her Orangetheory staff profile. A self-proclaimed country girl, Krystal told ABC that she enjoys low-key dinners with her friends and relaxing at home when she's not working out. She graduated from Boise St. University with a degree in Journalism in 2010 then went to UCLA for Television Broadcasting, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Krystal also told ABC that outside of her fear of sharks and spiders, the thing she's most afraid of is "unused potential." And as no stranger to the (fitness) competition circuit, there's no doubt that Krystal is planning to bring her A-game to this season of The Bachelor.

Since fans don't know much about Krystal or any of the contestants yet, other than their cast bios and trailers for the upcoming season, it's hard to predict how far the trainer will go this early in the game. But if she puts as much energy into this winning Luyendyk's heart as she has done into building a career she's proud of, it's safe to say she'll go far.
