This 'Bachelor In Paradise' News May Mean Dean's Not The Next Bachelor

Deanie Baby may be ready to settle down, Bachelor Nation. In an interview with Glamour, Dean Unglert confirmed he finds love in Bachelor in Paradise, but he doesn't reveal whether or not it's the kind of love that lasts. This is an important distinction, especially if the fan favorite from Rachel Lindsay's season of the Bachelorette has plans to become the next Bachelor. In a recent promo for Bachelor in Paradise, Dean is seen declaring that he's in love with two women. But will he actually end up with either one of them?

The 26-year-old seemed to form a real connection with Kristina Schulman in the premiere episode. The duo had an intimate dinner where they opened up about their childhoods, and their conversation touched the hearts of many fans. Dean revealed to Kristina that his father, who he hadn't spoken to for two years prior to the hometown date on The Bachelorette, never gave him the same kind of emotional support he received from his mother before she died when he was still a teen. Meanwhile, Kristina opened up about spending the first eight years of her life in a Russian orphanage before being adopted by a family from Kentucky.

Watching Dean and Kristina's first date, it was clear they had chemistry. But it's important to remember that production on Bachelor in Paradise Season 4 was shut down for nearly two weeks during the investigation into the claims made by a producer about the alleged sexual misconduct between DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios. After independent, thorough investigations by Warner Bros. and Corinne's lawyer, no evidence of misconduct was found, and production was resumed. However, during this break, the contestants were sent home and allowed to text and talk to each other freely. That means whatever connection was formed between Dean and Kristina had the chance to either grow or fizzle out while production was shut down.

Dean told Glamour,

"Did I find love in Paradise? Yeah, I'll be honest with you. I did find love in Paradise. Yeah. I don't see any need to hide it."

That extra time spent in the real world, beyond the reach of the cameras, may have been enough to lead to Dean falling for Kristina, or one of the other women on the show. While he coyly refused to reveal whether or not he's still in love, Dean's path toward becoming the next Bachelor just became a whole lot less certain. That's good news for Deanie Baby and all of his fans though, because the ultimate goal is his happiness. And since it's now known that Dean found love in Paradise, rooting for that love to last is only going to make the stakes higher for Bachelor Nation as Season 4 continues.
