There Is A Huge Change To Rihanna's New Puma Creepers

It's time to start creepin' and I don't mean skulking around on the Internet, either! The first drop of Rihanna Puma x Fenty Creepers for 2017 is upon us and there is a major change to these popular kicks. On Thursday, Apr. 6, Puma will drop another all-black pair of Creepers, alongside a white pair with a black stripe and other black details. So what's new and different about these particular Puma Creepers? Get ready, because it's a big deal.

These versions of the Creepers aren't suede! They are leather, according to the press materials received by Bustle.

The white, smooth leather upper is both classic and current at once.

That all-black pair, though! It's a cracked leather Creeper.

Upon closer inspection, you can see a cracked, patent leather effect, giving it more of an edgy street feel. The Creepers have come in several black iterations over the years, including all-black, black with an oatmeal sole, a black edition with a white stripe, and the all-black velvet version, which dropped around the holidays. Now, we're getting another fully black pair in a new texture.

I think these versions of the Creepers look a bit dressier, thanks to the respective smooth leather and cracked patent leather effects

The white leather version has a black stripe and black heel detailing. The brand did drop an all-white leather version in 2016.

Check out the aerial view, which reveals the gold branding. These really are the coolest sneakers.

This all-black edition feels upscaled, thanks to the shiny texture.

These all-black kicks are sharp AF and feature silver branding details.

The shoes drop online at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT. Sneaker pimps can and should expect shopping mania and a swift sellout, since that's what always happens. This screen grab confirms the time.

The Puma Creeper gives the wearer a lift, thanks to that thick platform sole. But the glossy fabric for this edition is insanely cool.

The brand also recently teased another change to the Creepers — a further stacked sole with a branded ankle strap for Fall 2017. So even more Creeper change will be, well, afoot this year.
