Everything Meghan Has Shared About Her Pregnancy With ‘RHOC’ Fans So Far

Fans were there every step of the way (minus the birth) when Meghan Edmonds was pregnant with her first child, because of Real Housewives of Orange County (segment producer: Stephanie Neumen). During the RHOC Season 12 reunion, Meghan revealed that she's expecting again, but fans won't have the same experience this time. Since much of her pregnancy is happening away from reality TV cameras, here is everything Meghan has shared about her second pregnancy so far.

Meghan shared the pregnancy news in a very nonchalant way during the Real Housewives of Orange County Season 12 reunion taping. Reunion host Andy Cohen declared, "You have a lot of fans wanting to know if you're going to have another kid." Then he wondered, "Are you going to defrost some more sperm?" Meghan confirmed with a quick, "Yeah."

Andy asked, "You're going to?" And then Meghan quietly revealed, "I'm pregnant." Clearly, Andy was not briefed on this one going into the reunion taping (or he's just an amazing actor) because he reacted with his mouth wide open and no words came out for a few seconds.

When Andy asked her how many months along she was in the pregnancy, some tears started flowing and Meghan revealed, "One. Just one. Brand new."

Meghan's co-star Kelly Dodd stepped in as a fill-in reunion host and asked, "Boy or girl?" Meghan shared, "It's a boy," and while that is true, it's actually only half true since she and Jim Edmonds are actually expecting two boys.

Meghan publicly announced the pregnancy on the same day that the reunion aired in an blog post on her personal website. She wrote,

So we’ve made it to the announcement: Aspen is going to be a big sister! It was so hard for us to keep it a secret from everyone especially since we shared our entire IVF journey with Aspen on RHOC from the very beginning. Tonight on the RHOC reunion you’ll see that I’m only one month pregnant, but that was filmed five weeks ago: we are now ten weeks pregnant (and I’m feeling every bit of it)! Because you won’t see any of our current journey on RHOC, I’ll share our beautiful journey with you here!

Since this all went down in between seasons, the only way to get up to date on the pregnancy is through some online investigation. This is all the information that the future mother of three has revealed so far.

She Is Carrying Twin Boys

On December 21, Meghan revealed that the Edmonds family is expecting twin boys with a super cute family photo that included her husband, Jim, their daughter, Aspen, their dog, Girly Girl, and some adorable signs. One of the signs read, "Our family is growing by four feet and two heartbeats." Just to clarify, there was another sign that was more straightforward: "Edmonds twin boys June 2018."

The Babies Are Due In June

The math on this one wouldn't have been too tough anyway since Meghan did say she was one month along during the RHOC reunion taping, and Andy confirmed that they filmed the reunion on October 27 via tweet. But on top of that, the Edmonds family did confirm the June due date officially with the social media announcement they posted.

She Completed Her First Trimester

In an Instagram post from January 3, Meghan revealed that she is feeling great at this point in her pregnancy, She wrote, "#IdidIt pic! Only took 15 weeks and 14lbs to exit the first trimester blahs but here I am at the gym - finally! #15weekspregnantwithtwins#bellypic." Hopefully, it's just smooth sailing from here on out!

They Purposely Conceived A Boy

In a blog post on her official website, Meghan said that they wanted to add a son to their family. She revealed, "We began the IVF process over the summer. We started from scratch because we really wanted to have a boy (Jimmy has a total of five girls and one boy) and we only had two frozen female embryos." She explained, "If we had decided to transfer one of the female embryos my drug regimen would’ve been much less involved than full blown IVF."

Jim Was More Involved This Time

On her website, Meghan shared that they timed the conception based on her husband's work schedule. "We began the IVF process after baseball season ended so Jimmy could be ever present – it was so dumb of us to do round 1 of IVF in April at the height of spring training," she wrote. "We were so anti-overlapping-IVF-and-baseball that we even had to shift our original schedule due to The St. Louis Cardinals’ schedule!" She emphasized, "I had reliable companionship this time around with Jimmy by my side, my trusty furry companion Girly Girl and of course, baby Aspen."

Meghan was very open about her first pregnancy, on the show and on social media, and she has followed suit the second time around. You can bet that she'll continue to share more updates as they occur.
