We all have a lot of living left to do, make no mistake. But if an asteroid struck the earth right now, we could all die happy, because Lin-Manuel Miranda and Milo Ventimiglia are tweeting about Gilmore Girls. That's right, everybody, two of your favorite people are talking to each other about one of your favorite things. And they aren't doing it behind closed doors; they're doing it right out on the internet, for all of us to see. Look around, look around, at how lucky we are to be alive right now. History is happening in Stars Hollow, and we just happen to be on the greatest Twitter in the world, on the greatest Twitter in the world. Hey, listen, that might have fallen apart a little at the end, but it's my fandom that's most important here.

Especially because that's also purely what Ventimiglia and Miranda were basing their interactions off of; from their tweets to each other, it seems that the two have never met, but that Miranda is a big ol' fan of the Gilmore Girls star. Is it safe to assume that he's #TeamJess yet? This all got kicked off by Miranda tweeting in December that he was starting to watch Gilmore Girls. More recently, a fan asked whether he'd continued, and if he'd come across Ventimiglia's character Jess Mariano, Rory's high school sweetheart, yet. Miranda responded as follows:

Just your average exuberant posting, but as you can see at the bottom there, he tagged Milo Ventimiglia in the post. The man behind your boy Jess got a little confused, worried he'd somehow met the iconic Hamilton creator without realizing it.

Any other celebrity might have followed that up with just a clarifying tweet, but you know that isn't LMM's style. He had to hit Ventimiglia back with a response that not only answered his question, but underlined once and for all just how enthusiastic the whole Miranda Family is about this particular character.

Listen. I really can't tell you how appreciative I am of this. First of all, it gives me a window into the family life of Lin-Manuel Miranda, which must be the most joyful and loving and supportive of all time. But, second of all, this exchange gives me hope that these two could actually meet in real life and really take things to the next level. And by next level, I mean meeting in real life and posting the details of it to social media where I can devour them like the rabid fan of both these two men and their glorious empires that I am.

Or maybe, just maybe, Miranda making the Gilmore Girls musical that we all so desperately want and deserve. Keep your fingers crossed, everybody.
