Bustle's Editors On Shia LaBeouf + Beautyblenders

by Christine DiStasio

Happy Thursday, fam! You've just about made it through the first week of Trump's presidency and a seemingly endless slew of executive orders. It's been a rough week (don't worry, you're not alone), but you made it to the end of this day and you're *that* much closer to Friday!

Whether you're already gearing up for the weekend or letting the reality that Doomsday is inching closer set in (wait for it...), here's what you need to know before you TGIT and wine tonight.

Trump + Mexico

In response to Trump's executive order to begin construction of "The Wall" on the U.S.-Mexico border on Wednesday, Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto canceled a planned summit in Washington. Pena Nieto announced his decision to cancel the meeting following an epic back-and-forth on — you guessed it — Twitter. First, Pena Nieto released a video statement that Mexico definitely would not be paying for the wall. Then Trump tweeted saying that if Mexico was unwilling to pay, "it would be better to cancel the upcoming meeting." So Pena Nieto did, tweeting, "This morning we have informed the White House that I will not attend the meeting scheduled for next Tuesday with the @POTUS." Sigh.

And if you're not sick of hearing about "The Wall" yet, on Thursday afternoon is was revealed how Trump plans to pay for the border wall's construction. Spoiler alert: It's bad news for all of us.

LOL of the Day: You could probably use a break from the news (you and me both), so here's a video of The Office theme song starring Donald Trump. Because we all deserve a laugh today.

Shia LaBeouf + Protests

Late Wednesday evening, LaBeouf was arrested following an alleged altercation with a 25-year-old-man outside of the Museum of the Moving Image in NYC. The actor, who recently launched his HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US livestream protesting Trump's presidency, is reportedly facing a misdemeanor assault charge for the incident.

NYPD have confirmed to Bustle that the dispute was not pro-Trump versus anti-Trump.

Celebs Being Badass AF: LaBeouf isn't the only celeb fighting Trump's presidency — Orange Is The New Black star Lea DeLaria tells Bustle why "the time to go high" is over when it comes to Trump.

Beautyblenders + Guys

It's been a rough few days for people who spend a lot of time on the Internet (which is most of us, right?), but sometimes we need a good LOL, and here it is. On Tuesday, vlogger Selena Faye challenged her followers to ask their partners and unsuspecting friends if they could identify a Beautyblender just by seeing a photo. And the results have been hilarious:

LOL.

Shopping Break: Speaking of products that are kind of weird yet totally necessary, here are 12 quirky products on Amazon that Reddit users swear by.

Doomsday Is Coming

If you're wondering if it's possible to ejector-seat this planet, we have some good news for you: Doomsday is coming soon. If you're unfamiliar, the Doomsday Clock represents how close we are to the end of the world, and it's managed by the Science and Security Board of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.

Following the scientists' latest shift of time on the clock, we're just 30 seconds away from the closest we've been to midnight since 1953. Make of that what you will.
