Bustle's Editors On "4:44" + James Comey

by Melissa Mills

What. A. Day. You've probably heard the name "James Comey" and the phrases "Senate hearing" and "obstruction of justice" more today than you have in your entire life. Yes, it's a lot to follow, but we've got you covered (just read on below). Plus, the week's nearly over so you can start switching into weekend mode in 3, 2, 1...

Here's what had Bustle editors talking today, June 8:

Comey + Trump

Today former FBI director James Comey testified before the Senate intelligence committee about Donald Trump, the Russia investigation, and former national security adviser Mike Flynn. Don't worry if you missed the hearing, we've compiled the most shocking lines right here for you.

Some highlights include Trump's call for loyalty, Comey leaking his own memo (yes, that one), a call for Trump to release his "tapes", if they do exist, and the one question Comey refused to answer. Oh, and you better believe that celebrities had a field day on Twitter over this.

The question on everyone's minds now is whether or not this testimony could result in an impeachment for Trump. Here's what we know so far.

Today's WTF Moment: Speaker Paul Ryan, in an effort to justify Donald Trump's behavior toward James Comey in all of this, said "the president is new to this" and that he's "learning as he goes." Oh, alright.

Jay Z + "4:44"

Unless you've been living under a rock, you *probably* saw TIDAL's "4:44" advertisements everywhere this week and heard speculation from, well, just about everyone, about the meaning behind these ads. Most theories centered around Jay Z dropping a new album or Beyoncé giving birth to the twins (can you even imagine the timing on that?!) but, unfortunately for fans, that was not the case. The real meaning behind "4:44" was revealed during Game 3 of the NBA Finals, and points to a TIDAL x Sprint partnership. So, umm, not new Jay Z tracks. Sorry!

Heads Up: Season 5 of Orange Is The New Black comes out on Netflix at midnight (don't act like you didn't already have a reminder in your calendar), but creator Jenji Kohan is already dropping hints about when the fan-favorite series will come to an end.

McDonald's + Dessert Hack

You better sit down for this next bit of news: one McDonald's diner discovered the ultimate secret menu hack, and it's going viral because OF COURSE IT IS. Now you might be saying, "McDonald's is delicious enough as it is, why would I mess with the menu?" And to that I'd say, just take a look at this:

*That* is what happens when you mix McDonald's Oreo McFlurry and Chocolate Chip Cookies. What a time to be alive.

Calling All Foodies: These glow in the dark doughnuts (aka Glonuts, obviously) are unreal.
