Bustle's Editors On London + The ERA

by Rachel Simon

What a day it's been. The attacks in London (lots more on that below) were a tragic start to the morning, and as more information comes out about what happened, we'll all be keeping the victims and their families in our thoughts.

For more on what went on in London, as well as other, thankfully less tragic, news and events from Mar. 22, read on.

The London Attack + What Happened

In tragic news out of London Wednesday morning, multiple people were injured (including a police officer) and one died when a car reportedly struck pedestrians in an act that's being labeled as terrorism. After the incident, British Parliament went on lockdown, and British Prime Minister Theresa May (as well as Trump, albeit a bit less eloquently) spoke out about the attack, calling it an "appalling incident."

How To Help: Info on the attack is still scarce, but that doesn't mean you can't do something to help the London victims right now.

The Equal Rights Amendment + What's Next

Although the Equal Rights Amendment was passed 45 years ago, it was, insanely, never ratified — but you can do your part in making it happen. Help the ERA get officially ratified by calling your state representative or senator, signing pledges, and donating to the cause. Ratifying the ERA may be largely symbolic at this point, but that doesn't mean it's still not worth the fight.

Fun Fact: Big news, M&M fans: White chocolate is now an official flavor. Start stocking up!
