These 'The Last Jedi' Pics Will Give You Chills

by Maitri Suhas

It's a big day for Star Wars fans. At the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando on Friday, the teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi debuted to a frenzied crowd, and it more than delivered. Luke Skywalker is back, baby, and he's feeling rough, saying that it's "time for the Jedi to end." Hopefully that's not true and his new apprentice, Rey, can make him a believer in the force again. Along with the trailer, some stunning new film stills were released, and they will make you so excited to return to a galaxy far, far away.

True to the Star Wars franchise, the trailer and photos from it are frustratingly vague, but do offer some very tantalizing glimpses into what is to come. Luke is leading Rey through a vision, and we get some insight into what she sees. But there is also so much we don't know, even though it's clear from the teaser that there will be truth revealed about what exactly happened to the Jedi and there will be much more conflict between the Resistance and the First Order. There's only a brief glimpse of the most melancholy villain of all, Kylo Ren, but on the plus side, the official poster is badass.

The cutest droid in history, BB-8, is back! And it looks like he and Poe are just narrowly outrunning an explosion.

I don't know what Finn is doing in this pod (possibly a hibernation pod), but I don't like it. WAKE UP.

A classic Star Wars epic space battle for an epic space opera.

Of course, the biggest question still is: Why does Luke Skywalker want the Jedi to end? Is he the last Jedi, or is it someone else (*cough* Rey *cough*) or multiple people? What are the new planets we see in the trailer? We'll have to wait until December to find out.
