The episode features the return of Craig Manning to Degrassi High as a talent show host, and it's a must-see for fans of Degrassi: The Next Generation. If you can't stop what you're doing and watch the episode immediately, then this glorious Craig and Marco reunion video is the next best thing.
After completing his cameo, actor Jake Epstein sat down for an interview with his former co-star Adamo Ruggiero (Marco), and things got adorable in a hurry. It's clear from the video that these guys still have amazing chemistry, even though their "class" graduated a long time ago. Early '00s fans of the series will remember that Craig and Marco were close friends before Craig dropped out of school to pursue his music career, so the guys shared quite a few scenes together way back when.
That only makes their Skittle-filled, non-stop giggling reunion all the more fun to watch. At one point, Ruggiero innocently asks Epstein what Craig would be up to now, and the actor not only has no idea, but he can barely remember where his character left off. Ruggiero jumps in to remind his co-star about the status of Craig's love life, before laughing about the fact that he clearly knows more about Craig than Epstein does.
Come on, if that's not a sign these two are basically Craig and Marco in real life, nothing is.
Expect the feelings to hit you the hardest when Ruggiero wonders if Marco ever goes to see Craig's Canadian indie band play, and is mock offended when Epstein admits he's never thought about it. "I'm sorry, I'll give you backstage passes the next time Craig plays a show," Epstein tells his former co-star in the video.
The moral of this video is that it's time for another Degrassi: The Next Generation reunion. And if not a full-blown reunion, then just a 30-minute special featuring Craig and Marco hanging out on a couch, catching up, and dropping Skittles all over the floor. Admit it, you know you'd totally be down with that — the more old school Degrassi reunions that happen, the better.
