A Vlogger Used Red Lipstick As An Undereye Circle Hack

Internet and Instagram makeup artists and beauty vloggers are inventive AF. They use office supplies like Post-it Notes as application tools or a basic household item like a bottle cap as an eyeshadow guide. Vlogger Georgia Gray used a drugstore red lipstick as hack, applying it neutralize and cover dark under eye circles. At first, I thought, "No way that works." Then I watched Gray do her thing and yeah, it worked.

Once again, I am in awe of how vloggers see the potential in things outside of the task for which they were intended.

While some vloggers are criticized when they aren't formally trained, you cannot deny their general ability to get creative and brilliant with things at their disposal.

In this Insta video, Gray, who had slight dark circles under her eyes like most of us, worked her magic, cutting the bullet from the tube. She heated and melted the lipstick with a lighter and a spoon, poured the mixture into a container, applied it with a brush, buffed it, and then proceeded to apply a variety of other products, from concealer to liquid foundation to contouring powder. The red lipstick was the first line of defense in banishing pesky dark circles.

The end result is a pretty canvas, with nary a dark circle in sight. Who knew red lipstick could function in such a manner?

Here she is, readying the lipstick for melting.

This hack is straight fire! Obviously, you need to allow the lipstick to cool before applying it as an under eye concealer!

She transferred the concoction.

Next, she applied it under her eyes with a brush. I know, you usually apply product that is very close to your skin color and tone under the eyes. But seriously, this works — keep watching.

After blending and buffing, Gray got down to business with lots of other face products. She used a bunch of creams and powders, layered over the red lipstick. You'd never even know it was there unless you watched the video.

The end result cannot be argued with! Her dark circles are undetectable.

This is what she used and how she used it!

I'm thinking this hack might take a little practice, though! You might have to sparingly melt red lipstick and you likely can't save any leftover melted product, either. Practice makes perfect, though!
