It's no secret that donuts are a surprisingly versatile snack. Not only are they delicious in classic flavors (like jelly or glazed), but they also are a great to experiment with (like in these ‘90s-themed varieties). But the latest donut invention to come along and blow our collective minds may top all the rest: Pop Pasta’s spaghetti donuts, which — as you can probably guess — mashes together pasta and the iconic dessert.

Before you start marveling over this new creation, let’s break down what actually goes into a spaghetti donut, other than the obvious. The wacky food hybrid actually requires more ingredients than you may think. According to Pop Pasta’s website, the doughnut is a baked, portable take on spaghetti pie, in which pasta leftovers are combined with eggs and cheese and then fried and cut into slices.

You can buy the donut in different flavors, depending on your favorite kind of spaghetti. Options include Red Sauce Pop (spaghetti, parmesan, eggs, tomato puree, olive oil, salt); Bolognese Pop (spaghetti, parmesan, eggs, ground beef, tomato puree, olive oil, onions, garlic, salt); and Carbonara Pop (spaghetti, parmesan, eggs, bacon, black pepper, salt ). Sounds delicious, right? Who else is craving a big ol’ plate of bolognese right about now?

And believe it or not, the spaghetti donut looks even more delicious than it sounds. Don’t believe me? Feast your eyes on these babies:

Seriously, yum.

So how do you get your hands on one of these? Pop Pasta is currently selling their new spaghetti donuts at Brooklyn’s Smorgasburg food market. So if you live in the area and are craving a more unconventional kind of pasta lunch, head on over and grab one (or two)!
