Bustle is pleased to announce that two new feminist graphic novels are on their way to a bookstore near you, courtesy of Drawn + Quarterly. The graphic-novel publisher will unveil Dirty Plotte: The Complete Julie Doucet by Julie Doucet and Love That Bunch by Aline Kominsky-Crumb at San Diego Comic Con, and I have the honor of giving you your first peek inside these funny and raw new books. I've got information on Doucet, Kominsky-Crumb, and their work below, along with an exclusive look at what Drawn + Quarterly has to offer in 2018.

First up is Aline Kominsky-Crumb, who — as The Believer notes — wrote and published "the first women’s autobiographical comics story" with 1972's "Goldie: A Neurotic Woman," opening the door for later offerings from Alison Bechdel, Marjane Satrapi, and Raina Telgemeier.

Originally published by Fantagraphics in 1990, Love That Bunch is an autobiographical tale that follows the author from her days "as a nice Jewish girl from Long Island, carries her to Greenwich Village in the 1960s, and to California, land of hippy cartoonists, and on to a more or less sedate life with hubby (the equally legendary R. Crumb) and daughter Sophie," according to Publishers Weekly.

Love That Bunch will be available in Spring 2018 from Drawn + Quarterly. Check out the gorgeous final cover below, plus two pages from Kominsky-Crumb's "Dream House": an all-new story for the Drawn + Quarterly edition of Love That Bunch. Keep reading to learn more about the graphic-novel publisher's second 2018 release, Dirty Plotte: The Complete Julie Doucet.

Another feminist autobiographical comic, Julie Doucet's Dirty Plotte was Drawn + Quarterly's first published series. Taking the form of short glimpses into Doucet's life in New York City, Dirty Plotte offers a detailed survey of the lives of young women that, like Vanessa Davis' Spaniel Rage, possesses a certain timeless relatability.

All of Doucet's Dirty Plotte stories, her other comics, and essays about the impact of her work are contained in The Complete Dirty Plotte, out in Fall 2018 from Drawn + Quarterly. Below, you'll find one page of a Dirty Plotte comic — which you can read in its entirety in The Complete Dirty Plotte — followed by two excerpts from Doucet's other work.
