Just in time for flu season, Starbucks is releasing a line a of specialty teas (they should totally be called Speacialteas, amirite?) that are going to help you battle both the winter cold and winter colds — in a healthy, invigorating, and calming way. Ready for the big reveal? You're going to want to know what Starbucks' new Teavana Wellness Teas are, because they're about to be a part of your life in a very real — and very colorful — way.

Thankfully for all of us, the folks at Starbucks are well aware of how miserable this season has been in terms of contracting flus/colds, and thankfully have released a series of teas that are packed with vitamins and organic ingredients that will boost immune systems, and thus help people to fight off germs headed their way.

And yes, that's teas, plural. Starbucks is releasing a whopping four different brews of Teavana teas — the Teavana Citrus Defender, the Teavana Defense Wellness Tea, the Teavana Rev Up Wellness Tea, and the Teavana Comfort Wellness tea — and they're all focused on boosting immune systems, energy levels, and overall wellness. Yeah, it's tea time! Starbucks may be generally known for the coffee, but their tea options are top grade — and I'm sure you won't be surprised to learn that tea is the second most popular beverage in the world according to TeaUSA, second only to water. So, with the tea market having grown exponentially over the last year, I'm gonna go ahead and deem it safe to say that 2018 is going to be the year of tea.

Starbucks

Back in 2016, when Teavana first released the blends of teas that Starbucks is now incorporating into their tea menu — Defense Wellness, Rev Up Wellness, and Comfort Wellness — Teavana preside Bernard Acoca shared in a press release, "we know our customers are looking to incorporate health and wellness rituals into their everyday life, so this is the perfect time for Teavana to introduce a new line of wellness teas," Um, yes, perfect timing indeed. I think we could all use an immune system boost this season. Acoca went on to say that, “enjoying a flavorful cup... is something our customers can feel good about and a wellness ritual that is easy to sustain throughout the year.” Which is exactly what I'm in the market for — a healthy practice that I can hold on to in the new year when literally everyone is coughing on each other everywhere I go.

Curiosity piqued? Read on to get all the tea on these four new specialty teas — or, should I say, specialteas — and learn all about them before your next Starbucks run. Thankfully, they are all available at Starbucks locations now.
