When To Buy The Smashbox x Casey Holmes Collab

by Kali Borovic

After keeping everything about the collab secret for months, the Smashbox x Casey Holmes details are finally here. Casey Holmes shared the big date with her fans on social media, but this isn't your typical launch announcement. If you're wondering when you can buy the Smashbox x Casey Holmes Spotlight Palette, it depends on how familiar you are with the blogger and the brand. There are three different dates to remember, and here's how the whole thing breaks down.

Normally when a new product comes out, there is a release date open to everyone. Well, not this time. The YouTuber-created trio highlight palettes are a little more complicated than that. According to Holmes' Instagram post, SmashCash members that are level two and three can buy the Palette on Feb. 18. Her followers will have the opportunity to buy the palette on Feb. 20, although she didn't say how just yet.

If you're neither of those people, there's no exact date for you to shop just yet. She did say that the launch date would be sooner rather than later in her Instagram post. Which makes since, since some people will already be able to buy them over the long-weekend. You should probably just start following Holmes on social media, just to make sure you can get your hands on the pretty palettes.

According to the PopSugar, Holmes was originally only supposed to create one highlight palette, but there were too many shades that she liked. Thus, fans get two to choose from — Pearl and Gold.

"It was originally supposed to be one palette," she told PopSugar. "We sat in a circle talking about different shades, and it was really hard to narrow down, because there were so many great options. Then we just decided: well, why don't we just do two? And so that's how we came up with the Pearl and the Gold."

The Gold and Pearl Spotlight Palettes will be sold separately for $35 each. According to her Instagram post, the cheek shine will be available on the Smashbox website, but then will arrive at Sephora, Ulta, and Macy's eventually as well. Basicaly, you'll have more than enough opportunities to get your hands on one — even if you're not a SmashCash member or follower of hers.

The launch dates might be a bit more complicated than others, but this is definitely worth it, even if you have to wait. These palettes are just too pretty to pass up!
