Who Are Donald Trump's Inauguration Sponsors?

Is the inauguration draws closer, a lot of questions about how Trump's inauguration will differ from those of the past will emerge. Like, what's it going to be like, how much will it cost, and who are Donald Trump's inauguration sponsors that will cover said costs? The short answer is: it's hard to say just yet who will be footing the bill. For comparison, for President Obama's 2013 inauguration, some of his big public sponsors included the American Gas Association, the Nuclear Energy Association, Duke Energy, eBay, and various other important labor unions, according to The Sunlight Foundation.

Not only did Obama bring out the big sponsors, but his celebrity guest list and collection of performers and hosts that included Denzel Washington, Bruce Springsteen, Mary J. Blige, Jon Bon Jovi, James Taylor, Garth Brooks, John Legend, John Mellencamp, Josh Groban, U2, Usher, Stevie Wonder, Shakira, Beyoncé, Tom Hanks, Steve Carell, Samuel L. Jackson, Sheryl Crow and so many more — making Obama's inaugural week seem like a multi-industry, world-wide celebration.

That said, people are definitely curious about what types of sponsors are putting up the big bucks for Trump and who is going to show up at his inauguration: According to the Washington Post, Trump's inauguration will cost anywhere between $175 million to $200 million. That hefty price tag is divided amongst the inaugural committee, the federal government and of course, private donations. Trump is expected to raise approximately $70 million from private donations as the restrictions are quite lax — corporations can donate up to one million dollars and private individuals can donate however much money they want.

In order to entice donors, Trump's team has put together large packages that give donors all the perks and VIP access they can dream of. According to The New York Times, if you donate in the million dollar range, not only are you going to all of the inauguration events, but you're also having dinner with the Pence family, a luncheon with the women of the first family, and a candlelit dinner with an "appearance" by the Trumps. And while it's been reported that Trump's already garnered the support of nearly $50 million dollars in donations, it seems most of those are private donations, as there's not a lot of official information regarding and corporate donations. Thus far, the only official corporate donation has been made by Boeing — the manufacturing company behind Air Force One, which always contributes one million dollars to the inauguration committee.

Whether or not more corporations will step forward to publicize their donations, or more celebrities will chose to attend the inauguration, one thing has been made pretty clear: the 2017 presidential inauguration will be unlike any other in history.
