Here's Your Love Horoscope For The Weekend

Jacob Lund/Fotolia

We’re constantly fascinated by what our zodiac sign says about our lives, whether it's which signs are most compatible or how each sign handles conflict in relationships. That's why Bustle has enlisted Mecca Woods, a New York City-based astrologer of MyLifeCreated.com, to tell us all about how astrology is affecting our lives each week. This week's topic: your love horoscope for the weekend of March 4-5, 2017.

Things get a little tricky this weekend for love and relationships and that's because Venus, the planet in charge of romance and partnership alongside money and self-worth, is beginning her six-week retrograde (March 4-April 15) early Saturday morning. Just as with Mercury retrograde communication and technology gets screwier than usual, a Venus retrograde usually points to misunderstanding and delays when it comes to romantic (and financial) matters. That said, it's often not a good time to start a brand new love affair (if you're looking for a commitment) or to get engaged or married at this time, as retrogrades are for a period of reflection and fine tuning. In matters of the heart, Venus retrograde is a time to slow down and reassess all the bits and pieces of mating and relating to another human being, like personal boundaries for example.

With Venus retrograde first in the feisty sign of Aries followed by time spent retrograde in sensitive sign of Pisces, figuring out where we end and another begins in context of relationship will be the focus over the next few weeks. With the Moon shifting into friendly and flirty Gemini on Saturday morning, we'll do best by keeping things casual for now when it comes to new romances, while established love affairs may have some kinks to work out.

"Having the Moon in curious and analytical Gemini can help us to get clear about what we really want in a relationship."

Either way, having the Moon in curious and analytical Gemini can help us to get clear about what we really want in a relationship, especially when she knocks heads with Neptune, Mercury, and the Sun in dreamy Pisces. While Pisces is the ultimate romantic, its energy can sometimes have us seeing and believing what we want instead of what's really there.

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

Tina Gong/Bustle

You may be going back and forth with yourself when it comes to what you know about someone you're interested in or seeing and what you want to believe. Though ultimately, when it all boils down, the only person you can trust in this situation is you. Don't betray your best interest.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

Tina Gona/Bustle

A past lover could resurface this weekend, which begs the question if you should give them another chance. Though before you entertain any sort of reconciliation, you may need to take a long look at whether you can see them as a part of your future and if it be worth all the effort.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

Tina Gong/Bustle

There's no reason why you should bending over backwards or give too much time or your energy to someone who's not willing to reciprocate or respect your boundaries. If you find yourself feeling this way when it comes to your partner or potential mate this weekend, let them know.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

Tina Gong/Bustle

You may be feel some tension this weekend when it comes to how much you should reveal/share with a partner and how much you should keep hidden or to yourself. Though before you create undue frustration, know that it's all about authenticity now. That's how you maintain respect.

Leo (July 23 - Aug. 22)

Tina Gong/Bustle

You may feel conflicted this weekend between being your usual flirty self and being a bit more shy which could cross signals when it comes to mates and potential dates. However, it may be time to accept that you're just not into the same things and same kinds of people you were into before.

Virgo (Aug. 23 - Sept. 22)

Tina Gong/Bustle

You may feel like how you want to be seen and how your partner sees you are two totally different things. Specifically, you may be feeling like you aren't living up to the lofty image you're aspiring towards. Though know that love is about being vulnerable and being valued for who you are.

Libra (Sept. 23 - Oct. 22)

Tina Gong/Bustle

When it comes to your partnership or the potential of one, are you being realistic or totally clear about who and what you want? You can consider this weekend a time for taking out the trash of sorts when it comes to your perceptions, beliefs, and habits around relationships.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 - Nov. 21)

Tina Gong/Bustle

If single, you could find yourself falling head over heels for a charming stranger this weekend, though you may need to ask yourself if this person is capable of truly giving you the kind of intimacy that you need. Don't force what's not meant to be. Couples may need to go over finances.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 - Dec. 21)

Tina Gong/Bustle

There's a major chance that you and your partner may not be on the same page this weekend, or there's the possibility you may be feeling hopeless about love. Though the issue may not be immediately apparent, take a deeper look. Where has the passion, your passion, gone?

Capricorn (Dec. 22 - Jan. 19)

Tina Gong/Bustle

You may need to have a heart to heart conversation with your love this weekend as a means of improving the state of your relationship. Above all —while you fancy yourself a realist, it's time to release a way of thinking or habit that's no longer working for your love life. Let go.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18)

Tina Gong/Bustle

This weekend, you may become glaringly aware of the discrepancy between what you need when it comes to love and romance and what you've been settling for as of late. If someone is worth your time and energy, they're going to have to make it abundantly clear. No scrubs.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

Tina Gong/Bustle

This weekend may be a reminder that if you want true love, you have to be willing to give it to yourself first. Part of this means better trusting your intuition, as well as determining your non-negotiables in a relationship and holding yourself to that standard. Own your worth.
