Isamaya Ffrench is one of the most recognisable British names in the beauty industry. The makeup artist has worked with everyone from Rihanna and Bella Hadid, as well as beauty brands including YSL Beauté, Byredo, and Tom Ford Beauty where she created the Extrême line in 2016. Now, the visionary is finally launching her eponymous beauty line.

Announced on May 24 via Instagram, Isamaya Ffrench Beauty will be launching in June 2022. According to Vogue, the line is a genderless approach to beauty that’s “instinctive to her generation”. It will also capture the makeup artist’s “nonconformist understanding of glam”.

“There are people out there who don’t just want ‘glamorous and pretty’, but something more edgy and exciting. I want my brand to talk to those people,” Ffrench told Vogue. “Something honest and inhibited – that’s how I see it.”

The 33-year-old currently stands as Burberry’s global beauty director, which has seen her inject new life into the fashion house's runway looks like where she transformed models into shell covered, siren inspired beauties. Now, she is recognised as one of the most directional makeup artists of her generation. In the last few decades, she’s served as Christian Louboutin’s Global Makeup Artist, created makeup collections for Byredo, and became a brand ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent’s beauty line, YSL Beauté. She was previously the beauty editor at i-D Magazine.

The brand will first debut a capsule collection that features an eyeshadow palette, mascara, and an eyebrow pomade that will offer a laminated effect. This includes Industrial Colour Pigments Eyeshadow Palette, £95, a 14-pan palette mixed with special effect pearls, putty, and shimmer finishes, which is also made with 3D technology and 30% PCR.

The Industrial Rubberlash Latex Lift Mascara, £35, features a curved wand which delivers an instant stretch effect and a fan-like finish for a falselash impression. It contains a blue coated triple black pigment for an inky, deep black colour, while conditioning oils nourish lash hairs to encourage growth. Also included in the collection is the Industrial Liplacq Maximising Lip Serum, £32, a deep berry pigmented lip serum which contains a botanical lip plumping complex.

Soon after launch, the brand will also be offering skincare. The Industrial Skinlacq Triple Hyaluronic Glow Serum, £60, contains a triple hyaluronic acid complex to deeply hydrate the skin, while the pearlescent glow formula delivers a glass skin effect.

The collection is set to launch at the end of June. In the meantime, you can sign up to be one of the first people to access more information on the Isamaya Beauty website now.
