Boyfriends Epically Fail At Blowouts

What happens when you mix couples, hot hairdryers, and sticky mousse together? Epically horrendous hairstyles. Cosmopolitan had guys give their girlfriends blowouts for a video, and the results will truly make you cringe. Some dudes might be great at telling you want they like and don't like about hair and makeup trends, but these guys found out the hard way that it's not as easy as ladies make it look.

I'll be the first one to admit that styling the perfect blowout is tough. Even thought the guys had everything they needed to achieve the look — hairdryer, mousse, multiple brushes, and a spray-bottle filled with water — it still proved too daunting a task. When put to the test, the results weren't pretty, and some of the girls were more forgiving than others.

From burning themselves with the hairdryers to trying to figure out which way their girlfriends' hair is supposed to part, the guys were clueless throughout the entire process. The four couples range from "just friends" to dating for years, but it was clear that the men learned nothing about hair during their time with these women. Though the results weren't that great, the men were confident in their awful hairstyling skills.

The men got off to a rocky start

"Ow! You have to watch out, because you can very easily burn your hands."

And it was no spa-day for the ladies, either.

"I'm feeling like a wet dog being padded down."

They tried their best to make the hairstyles normal.

"Wait. Which way do your bangs flow?"

But the look on their faces said it all.

Nothing good can come of this.
