COVERGIRL Launches 'Star Wars' Makeup Collection
If you thought the pandemonium around the newest addition to the Star Wars franchise couldn't get any more exciting, be prepared to have your sci-fi world rocked one more time. On Thursday, CoverGirl and MaxFactor announced a Star Wars makeup collection to be released in conjunction with Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens. All of your childhood fantasies of transforming yourself into Prince Leia (or Amidala for all you youngsters out there) are about to come true.
The cosmetics companies will be debuting six original Star Wars beauty looks along with a handful of exclusive makeup products. The first two looks, created by genius makeup artist Pat McGrath, debuted Thursday, asking customers to decide if they're more of a droid or a stormtrooper at heart. The droid look is, as Trinidad James would say, all gold everything. The eyes and even the brows look dipped in a luminescent gold sheen, and even the lips are a gilded, yet lustrous, hue.
The stormtrooper aesthetic on the other hand is a dream for any goth raver chick. This look is not for the faint of heart with blood red lips and a high drama, monochromatic eye composed out of graphic, severe lines. It's already almost impossible to pick between the two, and there are still four more beauty looks on their way! While the collection won't officially launch until Sept. 4, you can still start recreating these characters now with the help of some pre-existing CoverGirl products below. Going to the dark side has never looked so glam.
