The saga of Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom may come to an end, as Khloe Kardashian is filing for divorce Friday, according to TMZ. Earlier this week Odom received three years of probation for his September DUI arrest, just one of the many issues he's faced in the past few months. As much as we are rooting for Odom to get his life back on track, Kardashian should be able to get hers sorted out too, and that just doesn't seem possible if she stays married.
Every week, there's news about Odom, whether he's posting bizarre rants online, rapping about his problems or just generally behaving erratically, and it can't be easy for his wife to deal with.
Odom definitely needs help, but it seems like Kardashian has done all she could. And we learned during the season finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians that she hadn't told anyone but her brother, Rob, about what was going on with Odom when it all started. That's a lot for someone to go through without any support, and it must have taken its toll on her by now.
So as sad as this whole situation is, Kardashian has every right to move on from a marriage that has completely changed over the past year. Hopefully she can begin to heal after the months of struggle, and Odom can get the help he needs without dragging Kardashian through more drama.
It may be good for ratings, but it's not good for the real people involved.
