Northern Arizona University Shooting Leaves 1 Dead

According to reports out of Flagstaff, Ariz., early on Friday morning, one person is dead and three injured following a shooting at Northern Arizona University. Northern Arizona University has confirmed via its social media accounts that a shooter on their Flagstaff campus opened fire on campus with a handgun. According to the NAU Facebook page, a total of four people were shot on campus, killing one and wounding three.

According to the NAU Twitter account, the suspect has been "stabilized" and is in police custody. The suspect was later identified as Steven Jones, who is in police custody. Jones had been a freshman at the school.

The shooting followed a fight that broke out in the early hours of the morning, reports ABC. The school's campus police swiftly apprehended the shooter and medical care was provided for the victims.
