'RHOC' Star Heather Dubrow Says She Was Scammed

by Kristie Rohwedder

Reality star and thrower of epic hoedown-themed groundbreaking ceremonies Heather Dubrow was duped, and she isn't about to let the duper get away scot-free. The Real Housewives of Orange Countystar recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the time she and husband Terry Dubrow were reportedly conned out of almost $2 million. (Well, there goes the Dubrow mansion sconce budget!) The Bravolebrity tells ET that she and Terry were ripped off when they put their money in what they thought was a "calculated, risk-free investment." According to TMZ, the Dubrows invested $1.75 million in a lifestyle management company, and when the reality TV power couple did not receive the guaranteed return on the loan, they took the matter to court. The Dubrows won the case, but the owner of the alleged scam company reportedly disappeared without a trace (and without forking over the cash). The Dubrows are offering a $25 thousand reward for any details that could help land the alleged scammer in the slammer.

"We're putting this story out there not just to tell everyone 'Hey, we lost almost $2 million,' but we feel responsibility," Heather told ET. "We found out later that these people that scammed us have scammed other people for millions and millions of dollars. And if Terry and I don't come out and go public with this, they'll do it again."

The RHOC main cast member promises to get into all of the gruesome details on the next installment of her podcast, Heather Dubrow’s World. The episode will be available for download as of Tuesday, Dec. 15.
