There are a lot of great designers out there, and if you're outwardly going to speak about a particular group of people and be a bigot then, no, I'm not going to support you. "Everybody makes mistakes. I view his work as separate from his personal life. I always feel that way with musicians, artists, designers. He's apologized. He's gone to rehab. I think, at this point, how long can you hold a grudge? Obviously it was wrong, but if there is something he designs that I like, I wouldn't be like, 'Oh, well he did that thing.' "I think that with any art form there has to be some separation from the person who creates it and the artist themselves. You have to not look at his fashion as him. Regardless of what he said, it's still art that he's putting out there. There have been lots of artists in history who we don't agree with, but we still buy into what they do.
