On the second to last day of New York Fashion Week, some of the biggest names on the runway showed. Kors likes his girls well-traveled and windswept, and this season’s look is no different: models boasted rosy cheeks, shaded eyes, and flushed, almost chapped-looking lips. Realistic?
Jeremy Scott
The designer offset his sporty, full-of-quirk collection with well-groomed brows, nude lips, and “athletic” cheeks.
Reed Krakoff
True to form, the former Coach creative director complemented his classic, preppy-goes-upscale collection with natural, semi-matte faces.
Marchesa
Marchesa is famous (and sometimes infamous) for its super-feminine designs and similar styling, but lead makeup artist Gucci Westman went for edgy, unexpected contrast this season by placing blue liquid liner along the eye sockets.

If we were going to take Fashion Week beauty cues from anyone, it would be Proenza Schouler’s girls. It would seem that this season the “natural look” isn’t just en vogue, it’s de rigueur. Hair and makeup at Schouler landed in the camp of distinctly, unmistakably unfussy.
