COVERGIRL Katy Kat Eye Mascara Is Affordable

If you're an unforgettable California girl like me, you probably love both trendsetter and popstar Katy Perry and summer-ready mascara and lipstick. So, now that COVERGIRL's Katy Kat line has been announced to the world, you're probably wondering how much that Katy Kat Eye Mascara will cost you. Well, don't fret too much, because it's super affordable.

Perfect for summer concert series wear, this new, voluminous, long-wear mascara comes in a few different versions including Perry Blue (yep, that'd be a blue mascara), Very Black, Very Black Waterproof, and Black. With 10x the volume, the mascara uses a formula that contains a blend of waxes. This means that application will be wet and seamless, but smudge proof. It also gives you more time to sculpt lashes before drying. Hopefully, it'll help you to replicate Perry's own super long lashes!

Perry told Vogue that she "wanted to push the envelope with CoverGirl. You know, a black lipstick or a blue mascara is very Tumblr — I told them, this is what’s happening online, this is what everyone’s Instagramming.”

The helix applicator brush used has both short and long bristles to deposit the formula onto the lash and comb it out evenly. The prices will range from $6.99-$8.99, and the mascara will available for sale from July 2016. Yes, that seems like a long time from now, but the first 11 colors of her matte lipsticks are available for preorder on Walmart today, and you can see them swatched on Perry and friends at Coachella this weekend! July will be here before you know it.
