Emma Watson Wore Eco Fashion At The Met Gala

by Marc Cuenco

Every little thing she does is magic and at the 2016 Met Gala, Emma Watson wore a very cool pantsuit made out of recycled plastic bottles. During fashion's biggest night, when celebrities wore everything from a light up ball gown to Tamagotchi accessories, Watson decided to wear an eco-friendly outfit and killed it on the red carpet. Her black and white look was a collaboration between Calvin Klein and Livia Firth, environmental activist and founder of Eco Age Ltd.

Even though the Met Gala's theme focused on fashion in the digital age, Watson channeled old Hollywood glamour with her dress-over-pants ensemble. But while the first thing people noticed about her Met Gala gown were the chic trousers, the material that her ensemble was created from proved to be much more innovative and spectacular.

"We loved working with the team at Calvin Klein to create a look that is truly a perfect marriage of ethics and aesthetics," a rep for Eco Age said on Instagram of Watson's Met Gala dress.

Watson's entire ensemble was made from sustainable materials. "The body of the look is crafted from three different fabrics all woven from yarns made from recycled plastic bottles, the zippers are made from recycled materials and the inner bustier has been created using organic cotton," Eco Age added.

Seriously, who knew that recycling plastic bottles could turn into something so chic and red carpet worthy? Emma Watson did.
