How Britney Showed Off Her Haircut Is All Of Us

by Sienna Fantozzi

Just when you thought you couldn't love her any more, Britney Spears showed off her new haircut with a series of selfies, according to E! Online, and is basically all of us. Seriously, no matter how famous you are, a good haircut warrants all the selfies — silly faces totally necessary.

When you get a new haircut and it's on point, what's the first thing you do? Take tons of selfies, of course (don't even try to deny it). While a lot of celebrities opt to show off new hair transformations with glam salon shots, or wait and debut their hair at their next event, Britney Spears took an approach that's way more like what we all do — she took a series of silly selfies and posted them all on Instagram. And my love for her just went next-level.

The singer posted four selfies in a collage on Instagram, all making silly faces, with the caption "A very much needed haircut," and from the looks of the pictures, I'd say she's digging her new 'do. Spears's hair is now just below her shoulders, textured and layered, with some side swept bangs, and it feels a little more edgy. It's very Britney circa "I'm A Slave 4 U", and I love it.

TBH, this is what my camera roll looks like after I get a haircut. And I'm not even sorry, because even Britney does it. But seriously, this haircut is on point, and totally reminds me of her hair in 2001:

It's so vintage Britney, and I'm totally into it. Previously, her hair was long and wavy:

Which also looked fab on her, but let's be real — short hair is way more manageable in the summer. And while I definitely was into her lob:

This new cut is a good medium. It's not too long so as to be overpowering, but still gives her length to create fun styles. Plus, I'm never going to be mad about channeling '00s Britney.

And she was even making the silly faces back then. Gotta love her.
