Kathryn & T-Rav Argue At 'Southern Charm' Reunion

by Kristie Rohwedder

Well, the first installment of the two-part Southern Charm Season 3 reunion sure ended on a grim note, didn’t it? But hey, anyone who follows SC gossip probably saw this coming from a mile away: Earlier this month, a hefty batch of not-so-great rumors regarding Southern Charm stars Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel and their custody battle reared its ugly head on the internet, and not a few weeks later, the estranged exes were seated across from one another at the taping of the reunion. This will be about as sweet as a marzipan pig, thought no one.

In the final few minutes of Monday’s episode, host Andy Cohen asked Kathryn and T-Rav about their brutal Twitter back-and-forth. T-Rav claimed to Andy that he was trying to maintain a harmonious relationship with the mother of his two young children; Kathryn claimed that she and T-Rav don’t have a relationship beyond his paying her rent. Aaaaand then, things took a real dark turn.

Kathryn accused T-Rav of being on drugs and an alcoholic to which he replied, "I passed the alcohol test and I passed the drug test." Just when the folks at home thought it couldn't get any nastier, Landon interrupted and claimed that Kathryn allegedly failed a drug test. Kathryn said these claims were totally false, Landon demanded T-Rav produce alleged documental evidence, T-Rav refused to get involved, and Kathryn stormed off the set. And, that was it for this week's episode.

Thanks to the preview for next Tuesday's ep, we know Kathryn returns to the reunion, and it appears as though we're in for another round of fighting. Not to be totally sanctimonious, but whatever is or isn't going on, they've gotta pull it together for the kids' sakes. I love reality TV drama as much as the next person, but this stuff is a real-deal bummer.

... Or maybe I misread the preview. Maybe Andy mediates some sort of T-Rav and Kathryn reconciliation in part two. (Ah, you're right. That'd never happen. Andy is mighty powerful, but he isn't a warlock. And it'd take literal magic to make T-Rav and Kathryn mend those obliterated fences.)
