More and more celebrities are going lighter with their hair these days. Shay Mitchell has recently gone blonde, following the example of others like Ashley Olsen, Karlie Kloss, and Lauren Conrad, who have all been lightening up their locks. Given the way that starlets have been duping us lately, like the time Kylie Jenner's choppy bob turned out to be a wig, I can't help but wonder — is Shay Mitchell's blonde hair real? Let's examine the evidence.

The 29-year-old took to Instagram to debut the new 'do, posting a selfie with co-star Ashley Benson captioned, "Double trouble. #findingoutifblondesreallydohavemorefun." It seems doubtful that she would write that caption if the blonde hair was fake or temporary. So is this dye-job for real, or is it the work of a really good wig? It's hard to tell by just looking at the photo. My suspicions tell me that she really did color her hair, but then again, you never know.

This isn't the first time the actress tried out the blonde look. She previously had a stint with the bright hue not too long ago. Mitchell posted another blonde selfie just weeks ago with the caption "When you've taken 100 selfies to see whether or not it looks like a wig." This may mean she isn't opposed to wigs, and could be sporting one again.
