Kim Kardashian Rocked An Unexpected Lip Color

by Augusta Statz

If anyone has a signature style, it’s Kim K. While she doesn’t change her look up as much as her little sister Kylie Jenner, she’s not against doing something different from time to time. No matter how she mixes up her style, she always looks incredible. Kim Kardashian wore dark lipstick and proved that even a departure from her signature nude pout works really, really well.

Kardashian posted to Snapchat while getting ready to attend the “Famous By Kanye West” art exhibition. She chose to go back to her blonde hair color for the evening (it’s most likely a wig, though, you guys). But, the most shocking part of all was that she paired the lighter locks with a super dark wine-colored lippie.

This is a different choice for Kim K, and she quickly abandoned it to go back to her signature nude lipstick. “I changed the lip,” she said in a Snapchat video. “Couldn’t go dark.” A dark lip may not be her preference, but doesn’t mean that it was amazing while it lasted. This isn’t the first time she’s worn a more vampy color, but it definitely is a rare sighting. See her latest dark lipstick moment along with a few other times she’s sported a colorful pout.

Umm, yes! Work it.

But, then it was time for the true test. Did this lip color look good with a filter? 1,000 percent YAS.

The finished beauty look was a masterpiece, if you ask me.

But, Kim K changed her mind and went back to something a little more familiar.

If she wants to rock a nude lip instead, that's fine with me. But man, I really do think she should go darker with her lipstick choice more often!

A deep red hue is fantastic on her.

There was no going wrong with this fun pop of playful color.

Simple makeup and a bold pucker? Yep, that'll work.

A classic red pout is a must from time to time.

Colorful lip or no, her glam is always on-point!
