It was only a matter of time before Kim Kardashian jumped on the big hair trend of 2014. Yesterday, the soon-to-be Mrs. West debuted her short, wavy lob while on a shopping date with sister Kendall Jenner in Beverly Hills.
Kardashian's new lob is more Jessica Alba than Katy Perry, with its uneven lengths and wavy layers. It falls right above her collarbone and gives the celeb an edgier look than what we've been seeing on her as of late. It's uncertain whether her new hairdo is a result of just removing extensions or is truly a new cut. I mean, you never know with these Kardashian sisters.
The last year has been a whirlwind for Kim's locks — whether she was sporting platinum blonde highlights or going back to her natural dark brown roots, Kardashian has certainly been experimental when it comes to her 'do. Perhaps the lob is the latest manifestation of a post-baby makeover itch, or maybe she just wanted to go shorter so she could show off more of that bod she so loves to Instagram.
After following every one of her hair changes, I've come to the conclusion that the average lifespan of one of Kim Kardashian's hairstyles is about a month — so as much as we all love this look on her, we shouldn't get to used to it. I'm sure she'll have her extensions back on in no time.
