This is What Italian Glamour Looks LIke

You don’t even have to sit front row at fashion weeks around the world to realize that every city and fashion capital embodies a distinct — though still varied — sense of style. In Paris, it’s all about chic, modern minimalism, while London represents the finest in classic fashions. New York is a little mix of all of the above, while Milan, well, it’s unashamedly bold, sexy, and always in your face. And that fact was only reinforced by the famous and fashionable faces at last night's The Glamour of Italian Fashion exhibition at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum. With style stars like Rita Ora, Poppy Delevingne, model Eva Herzigova, and even queen supermodel Naomi Campbell making an appearance, it was an evening full of over-the-top, super-sexy, and often audacious ensembles.

Ora, for one, has never been the kind of star to back down from daring outfits, and she didn’t make an exception at the Italian fashion exhibition. Donning an all-white Roberto Cavalli look straight from the Fall 2014 runway, the British singer dazzled in a low-cut, leather, fringe-hem dress complete with all-over stud detailing and a fierce fur collar. Topping off the look with a white-tipped, swept-back ‘do; white, strappy sandals; a simple white shoulder bag; and her signature bold red lip, Ora was the walking, talking picture of Italian fashion.

Sporting a somewhat similar Roberto Cavalli creation, Campbell didn’t disappoint either, looking like the superstar diva she is in an embellished, black slip dress that featured not only a luxe fur collar, but also a fringe and red-feather hem. Styling the look with black sandals, sleek tresses, and wrists full of red and silver bracelets, the supermodel and “The Face” creator was nothing less than ultra glamorous.

English model and socialite Poppy Delevingne — sister to model-of-the-moment Cara Delevingne — went a more colorful route, choosing a stunningly printed, long-sleeved Emilio Pucci design complete with contrasting patterns, a floor-sweeping hem, and a dramatic open back. Keeping the rest of her look simple with wavy locks, a nude lip, and a minimal dusty-purple clutch, Delevingne let her fabulous dress do all the talking.

Even though Hurley may have sported the subtlest look of the evening, the English actress still channeled the Italian spirit in her black Roberto Cavalli gown. Featuring a demure halter neckline and sexy side cutouts, Hurley paired the simple look with a fabulous fur stole, dazzling drop earrings, and a glittering silver clutch.

With all these fantastic and fashionable ensembles, we find it almost impossible to believe that the real show was inside the museum rather than on the arrivals red carpet.
