Sad News For These Two Crazy Name Lovers

by Lia Beck

It's a sad day when you lose the only person who agrees your child should have a crazy and insanely long name and that's exactly the situation Uma Thurman is facing. According to reports, Uma Thurman and has called off her engagement to fiancé Arpad Busson. Thurman and Busson, a multi-millionaire investor, have been together off-and-on since 2007 and this is the second time they've ended an engagement. The couple ended their first engagement in 2009 only to get back together in 2011. In 2012, Thurman gave birth to their daughter, (deep breath!) Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson. You see, these two need each other! It's not everyday you find someone who will agree to giving their baby seven names.

Thurman and Busson have not confirmed news of their split themselves, but sources say that the engagement is O-V-E-R. According to Mail Online, Thurman and Busson were scheduled to attend an event together in New York earlier this month, but Busson didn't show and Thurman was seen without her engagement ring. A source told the site, "Arki was scheduled to attend and it seemed clear there was only one reason why he didn’t show — because he and Uma are no longer an item."

A source who spoke with Us Weekly simply said, "It's true." This is suspiciously unembellished for a source, so I'm inclined to believe them.

Thurman lives in New York while Busson lives in London which is likely to have placed a strain on their relationship. Thurman previously said of the arrangement, "We can't live anywhere else because my children's father lives here [in New York City]." Thurman is referring to her two children, Maya, 14, and Levon, 10, and their father, her ex-husband Ethan Hawke.

You know what they say, the third times a charm, and Thurman and Busson are not yet at their third called off engagement. There's still a chance these two could make it work.
